World Series Champions

World Series. The Cardinals now have won 11 World Series. They will be the defending World Series champions in the 2012 MLB regular season. The last
World Series championship that the Cardnials won was in 2006.The Cardnials were lead by their first baseman Albert Pujols who has been in the Majors
since 2001. He would help the Cardnials win the World Series again in 2011 against the Rangers.
This championship will be there 11th out of 18 apperences in the World Series. The last time the Cardnials lost the World Series was to the Boston Red Sox
in 2004. They got swept by the Red Sox in 4 games which capped the Red Sox 8-0 run in the last 8 games in the Postseason(Wikipedia).
